By the close of the third quarter in 2023, the United States had a substantial solar project pipeline totaling 85 gigawatts (GW), making up approximately 60% of the entire clean energy capacity in development. A total of 23 states boasted solar project pipelines surpassing 1 GW. Additional five states in the U.S. have added more than 500 megawatts (MW) of solar capacity.
